After School & Summer Programs
Parents often need a safe option for childcare beyond the school day and year. Saint James School is proud to offer a well-supervised after-school program. STJ WonderWorks (Pre-K2 – 5th grade) and 9th Period (6th—12th grade) provide a monitored time and space after school for students to complete their homework, engage in outdoor free-play, and participate in extracurricular activities and games.
Add a brief paragraph about athletics here. This is a good spot to include it alongside the others as athletic programs were designed for the same purpose as after school ones
During the summer, children entering Pre-K2 – 5th grade may attend Camp STJ full-time, part-time, or on a drop-in basis. Camp STJ offers fun, organized activities ranging from water day and arts to themed educational and recreational activities.
A Saint James School education is an investment in your child’s future, and it is more affordable than you may think. Parents seeking need-based tuition assistance apply through our internal processes. All funds to support tuition assistance are generated through the Saint James School budget and through contributions to the school.
Tuition assistance decisions are based on established policies and available funds. A student must be actively engaged in the admissions process to be evaluated for tuition assistance. All funds to support tuition assistance are generated through fundraising, philanthropic gifts, and the endowment fund. Our admissions office can assist you with learning how you can afford the best education in the River Region.
Tuition assistance is available for grades Pre-K3 through 12th grade.
The Saint James School enrollment contract includes an unconditional obligation to pay tuition for the full academic year unless the student is withdrawn, in writing, prior to June 1 of the enrollment year. If a student withdraws for any reason after this date, tuition for the entire year is immediately due and payable on the date of withdrawal.
For this reason, Saint James School offers all families an opportunity to participate in the Tuition Refund Plan with Dewar Insurance. This plan is an insurance policy that reduces the financial impact of withdrawal if the student attends Saint James for at least 14 consecutive calendar days in the school year. A brochure for this plan is provided with the enrollment contract. Pre-school students’ coverage is limited to on-campus learning only.
Parents are increasingly turning to student loans to enable their children to experience the benefits of an outstanding independent school education. Saint James School has partnered with Your Tuition Solution which offers the education loan families have turned to at over 2,400 private K-12 schools nationwide.

Not included in tuition: overnight field trips; some course-specific materials, supplies, and performance attire; college board advanced placement class test fees; extracurricular activity fees, materials, and equipment; team and club fees, some Pre-K2 personal consumable items.
